About the Global IR Series This interview and podcast series focuses on research and practices of Global IR at the GIGA and beyond. Global IR calls for globalising the study of international relations by moving past Western-centric perspectives and embracing diverse voices, histories, and experiences from around the world. It holds both academic and policy relevance. Through conversations with leading scholars, we explore how IR and social sciences more broadly can become more inclusive, pluralistic, and reflective of global realities. We also tackle issues of knowledge co-production and research partnerships with the Global South. Each event features a Q&A session with the audience and offers opportunities to connect with a global community of researchers.
