About the Global IR Series This series focuses on research and practices of Global IR at the GIGA and beyond. Global IR calls for globalizing the study of international relations by moving past Western-centric perspectives and embracing diverse voices, histories, and experiences from around the world. It holds both academic and policy relevance. Through conversations with leading scholars, we explore how IR and social sciences more broadly can become more inclusive, pluralistic, and reflective of global realities, as well as issues of knowledge co-production and research partnerships with the Global South. Each event features a Q&A session with the audience and offers opportunities to connect with a global community of researchers. Whether you're new to Global IR or already engaged in the debate, whether you're a scholar, policy practitioner, or simply interested in this topic, this is the perfect space to learn, question, and contribute. Everyone is welcome!
