ECPR General Conference 2025

From 26 to 29 August, scholars from all over the world will meet at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the General Conference of the European Consortium of Political Research (ECPR). GIGA researchers will once again lead various panels and present their research.

  • In their talks, our colleagues present their latest research findings, for example on the functioning, legitimacy, and resilience of democratic institutions in times of crisis or erosion, as well as the intersection of gender, identity, and political behavior, including radicalization and populism. All contributions can be found at the bottom of this page.

The European Consortium of Political Research (ECPR) is the leading association for Political Science in Europe. The main annual conference brings together scholars from around the world to exchange ideas and network on current developments in the subdisciplines.
