The Electronic Journals Library offers you a quick and structured overview of academic full-text journals and information on how to access them. Using the traffic light system, you can recognise at a glance which journals can be accessed at GIGA (green and yellow traffic light). Access to e-journals is usually enabled for computers in the local GIGA network with registered IP addresses (yellow traffic light). Thus, these journals are automatically available to GIGA members and on the library workstations on premises. GIGA members working at home or in field research must connect to the GIGA network via the Forti VPN client. Alternatively, you can also log in to most publishers via Shibboleth (‘Access via the organisation/institution’). Detailed instructions on how to use FortiClient and Shibboleth can be found here: FortiClient, Shibboleth Some publishers only allow access by logging in with a username and password. The corresponding access data for GIGA members are stored in the password manager ‘1Password’ in the vault ‘GIGA Library – Institutional Access’. If you have any questions, please contact ([email protected]) at any time.
