At the 27th IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Buenos Aires, GIGA researchers are presenting their work and exchanging ideas with other experts in Political Science and International Relations.
At this year’s IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Buenos Aires, experts from all over the world met under the motto “Politics in the Age of Transboundary Crises: Vulnerability and Resilience.” GIGA researchers will present their work in the fields of Political Science and International Relations. From 15–19 July 2023, they reflected on topics such as 40 years of democracy in Argentina, policy efforts to provide gender-based-violence services in Latin America, and many more besides in various sessions.
The IPSA World Congress of Political Science is the preeminent international gathering of political scientists working in academia, research, and consulting who present their research over four days. It is held every two years.

Core topics include the quality of political institutions and participation, challenges posed by conflicts and crime, and regional integration.
As the realignment of the world economy accelerates and the impact of the global financial crisis on emerging powers unfolds, we are at a turning point of renewal. Where do we go from here? The workshop explores this question.
