The Journal of Current Southeast Asian Affairs has been selected for inclusion in the Web of Science. Articles published in the GIGA journal after 1 January 2019, will now be listed under the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), the Journal Citation Reports Social Sciences, the Essential Science Indicators, and the Current Contents / Social and Behavioral Sciences in the renowned interdisciplinary citation database.
The Web of Science selection process is curated by a neutral team of editorial experts to create a trusted, high-quality database of journals, books, and conference proceedings. The selection is based on the principles of objectivity, selectivity, and collection dynamics, as well as 24 quality criteria and four impact factors. The inclusion in the database distinguishes the GIGA journal as a high-quality and influential journal. It provides articles with greater visibility in the scientific community and high-quality submissions.
