Trade Issues Today: WTO, Transatlantic and Transpacific Agreements

Professor Jagdish N. Bhagwati will deliver the inaugural lecture of the GIGA Distinguished Lecture Series at Hamburg City Hall. He will be speaking on "Trade Issues Today: WTO, Transatlantic and Transpacific Agreements".

Jagdish Bhagwati is professor of Economics and Law at Columbia University. He is widely regarded as amongst the world’s most influential thinkers and has won international acclaim for his pioneering and impactful expertise on world trade.

In his lecture, Professor Bhagwati will provide a unique multi-layered and incisive analysis of the Doha Round of Multilateral Trade Negotiations as well as regional trade initiatives including TTIP and TPP.
