Die Europäische Union in Zeiten der Globalisierung

"Hamburg in Europe – Europe in the world." That’s the motto of this year’s Europe week in Hamburg. It implies a question about the direction of European foreign policy, highlighting a topic of great relevance with potential for fruitful discussions even beyond the upcoming G20 summit in July.

State Councillor Wolfgang Schmidt, the plenipotentiary of the Senate vis-à-vis the German federal government and the European Union and designated representative for foreign policy matters, has invited selected experts to this year’s Senate event to talk about the role of the European Union in the world from a Hamburg perspective.
