Prof. Herz holds a PhD in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is a professor at the Institute of International Relations (IRI), Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
The IRI/PUC is the best IR department in Brazil and the main partner for the GIGA research platform in Rio de Janeiro.
Prof. Herz publishes in the areas of international relations in Latin America, international security, international organizations, and Brazilian Foreign Policy.
