Quantitative Field Research Methods

Date

17/05/2022 - 19/05/2022

  • This short course introduces students to various quantitative, field-based research methods for developing and testing theories in the social sciences. In particular, the course will focus on designing and fielding surveys, survey experiments, lab-in-the-field experiments, and field experiments. Our study of these methodologies will combine theoretical considerations of the different methodologies with practical and logistical considerations for the scholars who employ them. Assigned readings will focus on methodology and applications, while assignments will be geared toward developing students’ own field-based research designs.   Dates

The online course will take place on 17, 18, and 19 May 2022 from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. A link to the course and further information will be provided to the participants after successful registration.
