Media Training

When interacting with media, scientists face the challenge to communicate complexity with clarity and keeping it simple. How can you reduce your information to the amount the audience can digest? How can you get your message across, no matter what the question is? If you want to represent your institution well and “sell” your topic to a wider audience, you should know what to expect from “the media”. And you should know how to influence the situation for the better. In this workshop, we will train you for a variety of situations as public speaker. 

Date

The training will take place on 4 November 2022 (9:30 am – 4:30 pm) and is GIGA internal only. Registration has already taken place. 

About the trainer 

Dr. Katrin Prüfig is one of the few certified media trainers in Germany. In 2020, she added a master's degree in neuroscience to her degree in communication sciences.After training as an Agile Coach in 2021, she has also been certified as a Professional Scrum Master since the beginning of 2022. Katrin has worked as a journalist, reporter and presenter for almost three decades - as well as a communication and media trainer in Germany and abroad.
