GIGA Training

Introduction to R

Date

06/06/2023 - 07/06/2023

R is a powerful and versatile statistical computing environment. This course will introduce you to many of its most commonly used features. First, we will learn what R is and how it works, how data can be read into R, and how these data can be accessed and manipulated. Next, we will cover various ways to summarize and tabulate the data, and how to use them for statistical inference. We will also learn how to work with some of R's plotting tools, and finally get into the use of packages which facilitate working with R such as shiny and tidy. By the end of the course, you should be able to use R with some confidence.

Dates

The training will take place online on 6 and 7 June 2023 from 10:00 - 12:00 am and 2:00 - 5:00 pm. A link to the course and further information will be provided to the participants after successful registration.   *Please note that this course is GIGA internal only*
