GIGA Training
24/04/2026
In this training, participants will learn foundational concepts of culture and the dynamics that influence human interaction and communication. Participants gain insights into general challenges in cross-cultural communication and into approaches to minimise and leverage misunderstanding. As a start, we will address theoretical foundations of culture and communication to further explore the matter of meaning in social contexts. By then taking a closer look at cultural and contextual influences on communication and intercultural interactions (such as stereotypes or prejudices), we will discuss approaches how to leverage cultural differences. This internal training is open to all GIGA staff. It will be in English, however, comments and questions in German are always welcome.
Date and Time:
The course will take place on 24 April, 2026 from 9:00 to 16:00.
Please note that this course is GIGA internal only.
