During the last years, the options of publishing a dissertation have increased. So how to find the best option for publishing your dissertation as it is usually your ticket to the academic world and future career? This seminar addresses this question by presenting and discussing different options with both university and commercial presses. Common question such as how to contact an editor, how to write a book proposal, etc. are addressed as well as issues of proof-reading, reworking, market, and competition. The seminar will take approx. 2 hours, mainly drawing on the lecturers’ own experiences and participants will have the opportunity to discuss concerns and challenges.Please note that this seminar is aimed at PhD students in their final phase or recent graduates who are in the planning process of publishing their dissertation.
