The GIGA seeks to hire a
Student Assistant (m/f/d)
to support the research projects “Mapping and Strengthening Civil Society Response to Disinformation” funded by NED and “Strengthening Civil Society Against the Weaponization of Anti-Fake News Laws: A Comparison of Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Thailand” for up to 8 hours per week, starting on 1 May 2023 for 9 months with the prospect of continuing employment. The Student Assistant will be required to be physically present in Hamburg most of the time. Currently, the remuneration is gross €12.00 per hour.
Tasks:
Communication with local partners
Preparation of workshops
Data collection
Requirements:
Very good proficiency in English
Very good administrative skills
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
Enrolment as a student of political science or a related social science discipline, preferably in Hamburg
