Federal Minister Julia Klöckner gives a GIGA Distinguished Speaker Lecture in the practitioners’ part of the series. She will speak on how to foster successful interdependence of the multilateral trade system and food security. With her analysis of the pressing issue of food security for a growing world population, the Minister will share her insights on the state of multilateralism today.
Julia Klöckner is the German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture since 2018 and Deputy Chair of the Federal CDU since 2012.
The event will be chaired by Amrita Narlikar, President of the GIGA and Professor of International Relations at the University of Hamburg.
