Academic staff

• The GIGA and Universität Hamburg are seeking to jointly fill the position of GIGA President effective 1 October 2011.

• The GIGA is seeking to hire an Academic Director for its Ph.D. programme, the Hamburg International Graduate School for the Study of Regional Powers (HIGS), to start in January 2011.

Scholarships

As part of the BMBF funded DesiguALdades.net research network, of which the GIGA Institute of Latin American Studies is a core institution, a new call is opened for short-term scholarships (six months) for doctoral students and short as well as long term scholarships (6 to 24 months) for post-doc students (deadline 1 August, 2010).

Internship
